Weekend Round Up
Long Eaton United Youth teams kicked off their Young Elizabethan league games this weekend, with a good performance from all sides.

The newly formed Under 8’s got off to a good start in their first competition level football game with a 2 – 0 win away to Holy Spirit Celtic Green .

The Under 9’s A and Blue both played at Home on Saturday morning, each taking 3 points with wins against, West Bridgeford Spiders and Carlton Town Blue. The Under 9 A’s won 5 – 0 and the Blue Squad winning 3 – 1 against Carlton.

Meanwhile the Under 10’s also started with the winning ways, with the Under 10A, beating West Hallam Wanders 4 – 0 in a difficult and well fought game. The Blue squad were away to St Anns Sneinton Blue and got a well deserved 4 – 2 victory.

For the Under 12’s Long Eaton United A had a home win against Netherfield Colts Orange with a comfortable 5 – 1 score line, while the Under 12 Blue lost 3 – 1 Hyson Green Youth Blue’s.

The Under 13’s A, had a home tie against Pelican Colts which they drew 2 – 2 on Sunday. The under 13 Blue squad had an away game to West Bridgford Crocs, which they won 4 – 2. The Unders 14’s lost out in their away fixture to Cotgrave Colts, with Colts winning 3 – 0

YEL Notice

With 450 teams it is not possible to please everyone and the Committee are often restricted by numbers.

The Divisions for 2007/08 are detailed on the Individual pages and the fixtures will be announced around 3 August. ALL Divisions are provisional and subject to change should any teams fail to register sufficient players as per the rules by 31 July.

If your team would like to appeal against the Division you have been placed this must be done by Sun 22 July.

Please contact Keri Rout as soon as possible if there is a problem with your league, emails or phone calls from Managers are not permitted under the appeal procedure.
 
Tournament Dates

news.jpgDue to the heavy rainfull we have received this month, the Priory Celtic and the Toton FC tournaments have been postponed, new dates are as follows:

Priory Celtic Tournament will now be played the weekend of 21/22 July 2007

Toton FC Tournament will now be played the weekend of 28/29 July 2007

Also the YEL have a record number of teams entered in to the league this season with 447 from u8s to u14s

Divisions for 2007/08 will be confirmed on Tues 17 July and the Fixtures will be confirmed before the end of July
