Moorgreen U-13’s 0 v 5 Long Eaton United Blue U-13’s
Long Eaton United Under 13 Blue played a hastily arranged friendly against Moorgreen. After just 5 minutes the prolific Mee scored after good work by Lowe and Dawson. A neat 1-2 by Tomlinson and Penny created an opening for MOTM Edwards who’s shot went narrowly wide.
Determined work by Clarke and Green led to the second goal being scored by an unfortunate Moorgreen defender. Mee got his second to make it 3-0. Simons was a spectator in the first half and just before half time Green scored a neat goal after excellent link up play with Wenn.
The second half began with Moorgreen on the offensive but with excellent team play, Long Eaton soon regained control with Picker and Woodward dominating on the flanks. Long Eaton’s midfield were turning on the style and with 2 minutes remaining Wenn smashed home from the edge of the box to make 5-0 and 12 games unbeated.
